Our firm has worked with Russell and Nikki Rice for the past four years. In that time we have collaborated on multiple projects. Sometimes as their client but mostly as the architect in charge of projects they were hired to construct. We have worked together on public and private, commercial and residential buildings. In all my dealings with them they have proven themselves capable, professional, and attentive to their clients' needs. They are easy to wok with and concentrate on exceeding client expectations. I would highly recommend them to construct any multitude of building types.
Our most successful projects have involved their input at the beginning of design where their experience in estimating and constructibility has proven an invaluable asset. Both Russell and Nikki are intimately involved in their projects. Every time I have visited a construction site, Russell has been present overseeing the subcontractors and personally controlling the quality. I have had the pleasure of working with Rice and Son Construction in the development and construction of Redeemer Lodge Assisted Living project in La Pine, Oregon. As the developer/project manager for the project, I worked closely with Rice and Son Construction, the general contractor for the project.
The professional experience of Rice and Son Construction contributed significantly to the control of costs and the timely completion of the project. Skills were demonstrated in working with Deschutes County and the State of Oregon to accomplish a structure that met all regulatory requirements. Subcontractors for the project were managed in a professional and efficient manner. While working with the architect was at times difficult, Rice and Son Construction managed to find ways to complete the project with minimal delays.

During this time I managed numerous construction loans, both residential and commercial, in which Rice and Son Construction was the general contractor.
On every project, they adhered to budget, time constraints and owner demands. They always took a personal interest in every project, with an emphasis on service and quality.
On one such project, Rice and Son Construction was constructing a commercial building for a non-profit organization. In addition to their very competitive bid, they made a sizeable contribution to the organization for the purpose of buying a transportation vehicle. As the current homeowners of 22117 Lassen View Drive, we have enjoyed this fine home and are very pleased with the outstanding construction and design of this dwelling.
This custom home, build by Garrett and Debra Rice, has numerous features and upgrades. Interior amenities include a tiled entry, raised and lofted ceilings, custom oak cabinets and trim, a tiled master bath with oversized shower and separate bath. Other interior upgrades include a finished three car garage and full utility room. Fine quality light fixtures and ceiling fans compliment each room. The interior work is well matched and the color coordination is superb!
Excellent workmanship is also displayed outside the home as well. Tile roofing and stucco exterior walls provide an exceptional look. Yard maintenance is minimized by a full sprinkler system. The home is completed with an open landscape design and perimeter cedar fencing.
We would recommend a Rice built home to any one! We definitely enjoy ours!
