Rice and Son Construction History
Log trucks once rolled through the sleepy towns dotting the high desert below the dazzling Cascades. Then came vacationers, for Central Oregon was known far and wide for its abundant beauty and outdoor recreation. People began building vacation homes and visiting for longer periods of time. But then a strange thing happened. Those same vacationers never wanted to leave. The result: rapidly growing communities and a thriving building boom. Into that mix came Rice and Son Construction, Inc., seeking an idyllic location for our family that also offered promising business opportunities.
Rice & Son Construction began by founder, Garrett Rice in California in the early 1970s before relocating to Central Oregon in 1991. Over the years, Garrett has built a reputation as a very well respected and trusted builder, creating an efficient team of construction professionals. Garrett retired happily in June of 2002 and trusted in his children, Russell and Nicolette Rice to carry on with the company he proudly worked so hard to create.
Gratefully, we have completed numerous building projects by working closely with respected subcontractors, designers, architects, realtors, and lenders.
